Chieftain Auditions Self Practice Page

Use the materials below to help prepare you for your Chieftain Chorus Audition!

If you need them, America the Beautiful lyrics are HERE, and in each of the videos below.

One of the first things you should do as you prepare for your audition is to determine which audition key is best suited for your voice.  You can sample all the possible keys using the videos below and/or you may also use this pdf and this Online Piano to assist.

Practice videos in each key:

Key of F - Bass Range (my apologies - this video does not have my inset video like the others...)

Key of F - Alto Range

Key of Ab - Bass Range

Key of Ab - Alto Range

Key of C - Tenor Range

Key of C - Soprano Range

Key of Eb - Tenor Range

Key of Eb - Soprano Range

AUDITION ACCOMPANIMENT VIDEOS

When you feel comfortable singing in a certain key, you should practice using the audition videos below.  I do not sing in these videos, but I do play the vocal melody on the piano so you can follow along that way.  I will also give you a visual cue and start mouthing the words where you should start singing.  When you audition, I will be playing these accompaniments live.

Key of F (Bass or Alto)

Key of Ab (Bass or Alto)

Key of C (Tenor or Soprano)

Key of Eb (Tenor or Soprano)
